
Chris is the President and co-founder of Tri-State CART. She attended an American Humane training course in MI in 2006 and realized a need for an animal disaster response team locally. She contacted Evelyn who had attended the training with her and they decided to get the local group going. Bonnie was contacted and Tri-State CART was born! It has grown and flurished ever since and continues to grow and prepare.
In 2007, Chris was offered and accepted a job with American Humane as an instructor for their two-day comprehensive Animals in Disasters Course.
Chris is a former Cincinnati Police Officer and current security expert, author and educational speaker who resides in Dearborn County near the Ohio border.
Her experience with animals includes over 20 years of dog training, 10+ years of horse training and various styles of riding as well as working at 3 different dog daycare locations supervising up to 70 loose dogs at one time.
She is heavily involved in the Dog Scouts of America (DSA) organization and has done a great deal of dog training and handler training through this organization. She is a DSA Board Member, the Certification Program Director, local Troop Leader and is slated to be the next CEO of this international organization in September of 2008.
