Our training on May 19 and 20 of 2007 went really well! And we will be offering it again May 24th and 25th of 2008! See below for more details.
Tri-State CART hosted a two-day training course presented by American Humane. It was held at the Clermont County fairgrounds.
The course taught participants exactly how to safely help animals during any type of disaster. They learned more than they could imagine and feel much more ready to respond to a disaster. This training included the set-up and operation of a mock emergency animal shelter (to simulate what would be set-up during a disaster.)

Classroom portion

Hands on with a horse- practice putting a halter on, leading a horse safely, etc.

Team briefing before the mock drill

Real animals are used for demonstration of techniques
On May 24th and 25th 2008, we will host this training again!
